The new federation presidential election was held in Ankara, and the election, which was planned to start at 11:00 AM, began 25 minutes late. The election was completed with the participation of presidential candidates, board members, FIFA and UEFA representatives, and delegates. Servet YARDIMCI had announced his withdrawal from candidacy on July 11.

In the results achieved with the participation of a total of 274 delegates, İbrahim HACIOSMANOĞLU emerged as the new TFF president with a 5-vote lead in the 6th ballot. Mehmet BAYKAN was elected as the chair of the council with 146 votes, and Cantürk ALAGÖZ was chosen as the deputy president. Murat SANCAK received 84 votes and was left behind.
